Jon Beausires Tipo

This is a very special Fiat Tipo indeed. This car is chassis number 1 million and it was presented to Nigel Mansell by Fiat in appreciation of his time as a Ferrari Formula 1 driver.

The car is currently owned by Jon Beausire. Here in Jons words is a brief history of this special car : "This car was presented to Nigel Mansell by the Managing Director of Fiat – Mr Cesare Romiti on the 9th September 1990, following the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The car was given to Nigel Mansell as a mark of appreciation for his performance in the 1990 Formula 1 season whilst racing for Ferrari.

It appears that the car was first registered on 8th January 1992 and kept by Nigel Mansell until 4th November 1993, when it was purchased by a resident of the Isle of Man. According to the service record it had only completed 425 miles at the time of sale. The same owner kept the car until October 2003 when it was purchased by the Fiat dealer principal in Guernsey, Channel Islands. Whilst its overall condition is very good, it is being restored by a Formula 1 enthusiast, who is the brother of the Fiat dealer."
